I
met her on a summer's day
Hair
so golden in the sunlight
And
her eyes seemed to change color
But
she slit her wrists
And
bled out
and
when she died she gave a shout
I
met her in darkened alley
Hair
so black you wouldn't believe
And
her eyes were doors to someplace else
She
named a cat in honor of me
And
she played with fire and necromancy
I
met her on a cloudy day
Hair
so red like bloody stars
Her
eyes so green like dragon scales
But
she took a bible and burned it
And
rolled a joint with the pages and smoked it
I
met him on an autumn evening
Eyes
so damn blue
I
swear they were glowing
He
took my hand in his and said
“I
have never seen a smile quite so beautiful”
And I looked in his eyes and replied
“I
only smile to keep from crying”
