Nothing
Is
Humanity's
Immortal
Legacy
Nothing is what we're here for
Nowhere that's where we're going
Ladies, and those who refuse to admit
to themselves what they are, I'd like to make an announcement.
Take a trip with me, a journey, a
mental experiment.
Close your eyes, and listen to my
voice. You feel something inside, deep inside. So deep inside that
you have destroy every other vision to focus on it. And this thing
you feel inside, so deep inside, you've felt it before.
And as the feeling grows you think a
simple thought to yourself, If only I could die, if only I could
bleed, if only I could cry, then I'd be free.
If only I could die, if only I could
bleed, if only I could cry, then I wouldn't need to be me.
Think on the legacy we leave behind,
plastic, smoke, oozing through the seas.
Nothing
Is
Humanity's
Immortal
Legacy
Picture yourself broken and dead, is
anyone crying over you?
Imagine that you could stop the pain,
just reach in and rip out your own heart.
Go on, destroy the features of your
face, I'll wait.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, open your
eyes. Look to your left, and now to your right, see the person
sitting next to you? They are dead. You killed them. Now look at your
hands, you are dead, your neighbor killed you. But not to worry,
their faces are as featureless as your own.
Now repeat after me:If only I could
die, if only I could bleed, if only I could cry, then I'd be free.
If only I could die, if only I could
bleed, if only I could cry, then I wouldn't need to be me.
Nothing
Is
Humanity's
Immortal
Legacy
